Rex Loves Coastal Tails and Trails
~ A nurturing and creative place ~
“This is the best! Rex looks so forward to going. They are all happy to be there, you can see it. Sabrina is awesome at what she does. Keep up the great work.” – D Crowell
Rex has lots of furry friends and families ‘barking’ approval for Coastal Tails.
Doggy Daycare is the most popular service at Coastal Tails with Doggy and Cat Sleepovers and extended Boarding as options. Spacious facilities, large runs, fun trails and specialized services all compliment the wish list.
“You will not find another person with more love, passion and vision. All for our special fur babies. Sabrina has done kitty care for me. Truly, she is wonderful!” – C Bower
The reality is that Coastal Tails is more of a luxury spa and resort, for modest budgets, than an crusty boarding school.
Heated floors, lots of playrooms and private spaces, a dedicated Kitchen for specialized Furry Friends Cuisine, plus many of the concierge services one would expect when staying at the Furry Ritz.
Coastal Tails is a unique facility for all ages and breeds of dogs, where there is open concept playing and socializing. There are opportunities for puppy playgroups, small dog groups, large dog groups, as well as senior groups. Some of the most noted benefits of enrolling your dog in daycare include: Socialization, exercise, relief from separation anxiety accomplished through routine. And dogs know, ‘routine’ deserves bark-able applause.
Everyone leaves with a smile. Rex and friends gets to go to daycare, play all day with their friends, and go home tired so you get to relax. A happy dog brings joy to everyone's life.
Daycare and boarding is a great advantage for tourists and visitors in the greater Shelburne community, as it’s not always easy to take a dog along on certain adventures (especially restaurants and shopping and many if not most accommodations).
Community events at Coastal Tails include dog walks, paint nights, education sessions, and other animal-related socials for everyone. Yes, family is included too.
“The owner is very professional and her love of animals is very evident. She was very knowledgeable and the facilities were cleaned and well maintained. She ensured she knew our pet’s routine and feeding habits. Our puppy also loved River, who made the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend this business” – C Macmaster
Coastal Tails has an area for cat boarding and perhaps more important, offers the unique service of “Cat Care House Calls”. Cats get to stay in the comfort of their own home while
being checked on throughout the days you are away. And this is all scheduled to fit the normal routine of your Purr-fect Family. This is a great benefit for cats that do not do well in a boarding setting. Plus it makes life easier for family too.
The Salty Paw Grooming Salon, a full service salon, operates from Coastal Tails’ too. Lori-Ann Hammond has years of experience with dog grooming, and both pets and family always seem pleased.
Jessie’s Treats (Jessica Atwood) has a place in Coastal Tails’ reception area where numerous types of homemade dog and cat treats are sold. Jessie makes the treats plus hand crafted fleece toys.
There’s a beautiful and special mural in the reception area, by artist Blanka Dlouhy. A happy and bright a dog and cat are the focus. It truly represents Coastal Tails as the aid back, fun and happy place dogs, cats, and their humans know it to be.
Coastal Tails dog daycare and boarding facility opened in December 2018.
Owner and operator Sabrina Burroughs is a trained Veterinary Assistant with several years of practical experience backed by professional training at Maritime Business College in Dartmouth.
It’s easy to tell that Furry friends are a priority in Sabrina’s world. If River, her dog, could talk, she’d make that ‘barkedly’ clear!
In virtually no time at all, Coastal Tails has become a cherished home away from home by dogs, cats and families alike.
“Incredible with dogs and good at what she does. Great place for any dog! Highly recommend checking it out.” – J Martin
